Announcing Impose Cassette Series #2: Birthdays!
We're pleased as a direct smack in the face to call Birthdays' Hawaiian Punch Wave the second in our baby tape series.
Birthdays is the performing name of Boston, MA's Samuel Yager. He has released some early material on Breakfast of Champs, but this limited edition five song cassette is one of his earliest collector items. Stirring that blissed out bubbly electro that's been steeped in this year's Kool Aid, but resulting in a mix that doesn't dry up like so much unrefined sugar powder, Hawaiian Punch Wave is here for your consumption.

Impose cassette series kicks off with Weekends Psychedelic Mice!
We're super excited to announce the beginning of the Impose Cassette Series with Weekends' Psychedelic Mice. Featuring five tracks, including a cover of Future Islands' "Little Dreamer" and the the title track, which is from their upcoming Friends Records full-length, the Psychedelic Mice cassette is officially out now! It kicks off a run of monthly (very) limited edition cassettes with exclusive artwork. We have some amazing bands on board, so you'll have to check back to see who will be joining the club, but in the meantime, you can order a copy of the Weekends cassette here. Impose to release Total Slacker Crystal Necklace 7-inch!
They've been making noise throughout Brooklyn for the past year, now the prog-inspired, fuzz rock band will be putting out their first official release with Impose. The Crystal Necklace 7-inch will feature the title track on the A side with "Video Store Rental Guy" on the B and will be available at both physical and digital retailers on July 6, and of course, you can order it directly from impose. The Crystal Necklace 7-inch pre-order will be up June 22, so check back here for details.
