(VHS/Cassette)
After the release of Shadow Temple in 2010, Taraka and Nimai Larson of Prince Rama began a three-month artist residency at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn, New York. There, they explored the conceptual link between exercise rituals and exorcise rituals using music to explore the body as a vehicle for the utopian impulse, and seeking to shed psychic demons through physical exhaustion through a series of multimedia performances that included sound, color projections, and exercises/exorcisms. The release of 15 Minute Exorcise can be seen as the physical culmination relating to this project.
This limited-edition release is the eighth installment of the Impose cassette series and includes an instructional exercise VHS produced by Julian Bozeman of Quiet Hooves. The A-side accompanies the VHS, while the B-side includes the instructions for the yoga exercises. The music was recorded by Taraka with additional drums and instructions by Nimai.
